Present: Patty Hammond, Ealisa Adams, Kristen Massey, M’Liss Jenkins, Fay O’Neill, Kimberly Hill, Tina Oyer, Dianna Cooley, Jessica Smith, Jacqueline James, Tracie Goad

  1. Call meeting to order and introductions
  2. Approval of March minutes – Motion to approve by Tina Oyer, Seconded by Fay O’Neill
  3. Resignations
    1. Marilyn Powell resignation
    2. Penny Meadows – no response – Kim will call MGC to see if Penny would like to still be involved.
  4. Committee Chair reports
    1. Parenting – vacant – no report
    2. Substance Abuse – M’Liss reported in Kerry’s absence that the Anti-Drug Network is continuing. We may need to ask someone from that group to help out with this committee. The next Anti-Drug network is May 12th@ 11:30, Location Anchor House. M’Liss reports that they have written a proposal for their new program.
    3. Marketing – vacant at this time due to no contact with Penny Meadow. Ealisa Adams has been working on this committee and reported that there have not been changes since last month. Jennifer and Ealisa did check to ensure that they email sign up is working.

    4. Workforce Development – M’Liss Jenkins
      1. DSM-5 training has been scheduled for May 22nd at the Bartlesville Public Library from 9:00am – 12:15pm. Please post on the calendar on the website.
      2. Annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Summit. There will be 2 major speakers. All day seminar for professionals (at least 6.5 CEUs) and then an evening seminar that M’Liss is working to get CEUs for. Jack and Kevin Hines in the evening.
      3. Family Life Symposium is bringing in Josh McDowell on October 8th for the evening and then the professional workshop non October 9th.
      4. M’Liss is still working with Dr. Dupell for a workshop on self-injury and eating disorders.
      5. Ethics training in June, the date has not been set yet.
    5. Finance – Kimberly Hill presented for Sheri Robertson. There was a $200 deposit for the Ethics training on April 16th. This brings our balance to $5,647.22. Sheri filed our non-profit tax return in March.
    6. Health Homes – Kimberly Hill – Health Homes is booming. We have over 150 children enrolled in Health Homes with at least 20 of these full Wraparound families. GLMHC has hired a physician who started this week and will be on-site to provide physical health services. Tina talked about the Transitions program. Housing is still an issue. Tina worked with Project Prom and was able to take 3 transition youth to Prom.
  5. New Business
    1. Motion to approve new members – Patty, Kristen, Dianna, Jessica, Jacqueline. Kim motioned to approve, Tracie seconded. Motion carried.
    2. Nominations for vacant positions
      1. The Parenting committee was developed as a result of a Key Informant Survey.   Parenting needs were identified as a need for the community. Do we need to reassess to see what is available? Where are court appointed parents going? Where are families going to learn about development? – Tabled until there are more volunteers
      2. Marketing committee – Ealisa is willing to head up the committee.   M’Liss talked about the development of promotional materials to recruit members. Nomination of Ealisa Adams to chair marketing committee. Fay motioned to approved, Tina seconded. Motion carried.
    3. Ideas for getting new members
      1. Developing promotional materials,
      2. Bringing parents,
      3. Reaching out to other organizations
      4. Have someone talk about the Association at the trainings to promote it. Have something to give out at the trainings.
      5. Can send “Invitations” to community members
      6. Get materials together then have all mental health agencies come to talk.
      7. Have a speaker come every month to talk about what they are doing at their agency
      8. Get P66 or COP employees coming to meetings
      9. Volunteers – Fay, Tina, Jacqueline, Patty
  6. Upcoming Events

      5. Washington County Wellness Initiative will be bringing in the mobile dental van 7 times within the next year. They can see 12-15 individuals (adults and children) at a time. They will pull teeth, do fillings, cleanings, all free of cost. No dentures. M’Liss will keep everyone posted.
